M M, Laparoscopic Roux-en-y Gastric Bypass Surgery's Story

Thank you Dr. Zaré for giving me the tools to change my life!

I had my laparoscopic roux-en-y gastric bypass surgery in July 2011. I have lost more than 100 lbs so far and I am very happy living an active life. I was initially nervous about having the surgery but Dr. Zaré thoroughly explained what I needed to know about the different types of weight loss surgeries, it’s history, and other things that I was able to choose the right one for me. Dr. Zaré and Ben, the office coordinator were very supportive pre and post op. Ben made sure that they scheduled my surgery on the date I requested and that made a big difference. Their system worked for me. I was not asked to do more than what was needed to be done pre-op so I was not discouraged. This surgery was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself and I thank my lucky stars that a colleague, also a WLS patient of Dr. Zaré referred me to her very competent doctor.
